Description

  • Coach engineering managers and team leads into stronger people leaders who can run great teams.
  • Run effective 1:1s, set expectations, deliver specific feedback, and address performance issues directly.
  • Build and scale the engineering org to support new customer segments, new product lines, and continued growth.
  • Maintain and improve engineering velocity as the team doubles and the business evolves.
  • Set strategic scope and say no to lower-priority work when needed to keep teams focused on impact.
  • Partner with product and data teams to turn creator data into compounding product value and better recommendations.
  • Redesign team workflows and delivery processes, including ways AI agents can improve execution and throughput.
  • Lead quarterly planning and help teams simplify roadmaps and align on the work that moves key business goals.
  • Monitor operational issues across teams, including deployment speed and team-level feedback loops.
  • Support the creation of new internal leaders and help grow the next generation of engineering leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience leading leaders, such as engineering managers or team leads, rather than only individual contributors.
  • Experience building and shipping real products, ideally in a product or SaaS company.
  • Experience scaling an engineering organization through a high-growth phase or building one from early stage.
  • Proven ability to handle difficult people management issues, including performance improvement and uncomfortable feedback.
  • Ability to work with urgency and take action without waiting for external pressure or permission.
  • Experience helping engineers adopt AI tooling in real workflows.
  • Comfort operating in a people-first leadership role rather than as the strongest hands-on engineer in the room.
  • Experience improving engineering quality when standards were slipping, or helping teams raise performance.
  • Experience working across product and data teams to ship new initiatives and infrastructure.
  • Preferred location in Tallinn or another European location, with openness to remote work.
