Description

  • Analyze business requirements and technical specifications for web interfaces and backend systems.
  • Investigate complex multi-channel message flows using platform logs, webhook payloads, and event traces to identify root causes of defects.
  • Design and execute end-to-end test strategies across the full message lifecycle, from UI actions through APIs and delivery confirmation.
  • Validate API, backend, and channel gateway behavior to ensure client-facing results match expected behavior.
  • Contribute to performance testing efforts for message throughput, API response times, and system resilience under load.
  • Participate in architectural reviews and Agile discussions to advocate for testability, observability, and system stability.
  • Support Playwright-based automation efforts and collaborate on improving coverage for critical UI flows.
  • Help ensure automated checks are reliable within the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Maintain technical documentation and RCA reports for complex and hard-to-reproduce bugs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software testing experience.
  • Strong understanding of web platform testing, including UI and backend.
  • Ability to debug logic defects across distributed flows.
  • Experience with REST API testing using Postman, curl, or similar tools.
  • Experience validating webhook and callback flows.
  • Understanding of channel-specific delivery logic.
  • Understanding of API automation using pytest, REST Assured, or similar tools.
  • Basic scripting ability in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python for test tooling.
  • Experience working in Linux environments and reading server logs.
  • Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes for local and staging environments.
  • Experience with Grafana or similar monitoring and dashboarding tools.
  • Experience with Playwright or a similar end-to-end testing framework is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Locust, k6, or JMeter is preferred.
  • Experience testing throughput under concurrent channel load is preferred.
  • Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
  • Understanding of event-driven architecture patterns is preferred.
  • Familiarity with messaging provider APIs is preferred.
  • Understanding of SMS and chat platform delivery mechanics is preferred.
