Description

  • Define, design, and implement improvements to the SaaS platform, data storage, and ETL pipelines.
  • Build and maintain backend systems with a focus on security, quality, testing, automation, and new features.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of the platform, data architecture, and internal tools.
  • Support internal staff and external stakeholders in using the platform’s data and tools effectively.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and task prioritization.
  • Estimate technical effort and help set realistic project timelines.
  • Track development progress proactively and report status to the team.
  • Identify and resolve potential delays or technical roadblocks early.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend development and ETL pipelines for web applications.
  • Proven experience collecting, cleaning, structuring, and analyzing large, complex data sets.
  • High proficiency in Python, Pandas, and SQL.
  • Must be physically located and working within Europe, with ability to align with required operational time zones.
  • Strong deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand hierarchical data relationships and identify logic gaps.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently across different timescales.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in at least one major business intelligence tool such as Google DataStudio, Power BI, or Tableau is preferred.
  • Practical experience in a major cloud environment such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is preferred.
  • Strong analytical ability and professional customer-facing communication skills with attention to detail are preferred.
