Description

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems and APIs.
  • Architect scalable backend solutions that can handle growing user loads and changing business needs.
  • Maintain high coding standards through thorough code reviews and best practices for readability and maintainability.
  • Identify bottlenecks and optimize code and algorithms to improve system performance.
  • Implement monitoring and debugging tools to proactively detect and resolve issues.
  • Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure backend reliability.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and designers to deliver software solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers and support their technical growth.
  • Document code, APIs, and technical processes to support knowledge sharing and onboarding.

Requirements

  • Must be located in the EMEA or APAC region and authorized to work in the relevant region.
  • Strong professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Proven production experience with the Stellar network.
  • Previous blockchain experience with technical understanding of the EVM ecosystem or other blockchain environments.
  • Familiarity with Stellar Soroban smart contracts is a significant plus.
  • Extensive experience in a similar senior or lead backend role.
  • Solid understanding of MongoDB, Redis, and system architecture design.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a proactive manner.
  • Very strong written and verbal English skills for stakeholder communication.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science is a plus.
