Description

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise-scale AI and machine learning solutions.
  • Lead predictive modeling, natural language processing, generative AI, and advanced analytics initiatives.
  • Build data pipelines, feature engineering processes, and model training environments.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend solutions that improve mission performance.
  • Ensure AI systems meet security, privacy, compliance, governance, and ethical requirements.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, cybersecurity specialists, data engineers, stakeholders, and government leadership.
  • Support cloud-based AI deployments, model operationalization, validation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, architecture documentation, implementation plans, and executive briefings.
  • Participate in program reviews, stakeholder meetings, and technical working groups.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in information technology security, data science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years designing, developing, or deploying AI or machine learning systems in enterprise or government environments.
  • Experience delivering production AI solutions for large organizations or federal agencies comparable to VA, DoD, IRS, or GSA.
  • Master’s degree in artificial intelligence, business, cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, information assurance, information security, information resource management, or a related field.
  • One or more IAT Level III, IAM Level III, or IASAE Level III certifications.
  • Experience building, training, testing, and deploying machine learning models in production.
  • Expertise in data preparation, quality, cleansing, transformation, and feature engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with AI frameworks, machine learning libraries, and cloud-based AI services.
  • Ability to complete and maintain a Tier 4 / High Risk Background Investigation.
  • Availability during 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time, with approximately two trips per year; a related PhD may substitute for up to five years of experience.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $180,000–$210,000.
  • Remote work supporting the Eastern Time Zone.
  • Full-time employment supporting federal government mission programs.
  • Opportunity to provide technical leadership in federal artificial intelligence initiatives.
  • Approximately two program-related trips per year, with routine onsite support not anticipated.
