Description

  • Own the intake and discovery process for internal data initiatives and document requirements before development begins.
  • Lead requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders to uncover and clarify needs.
  • Translate business requirements into dev-ready documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, data definitions, and reporting logic.
  • Maintain a groomed and prioritized requirements backlog in collaboration with the Technical Project Manager.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle and communicate status, trade-offs, and decisions.
  • Define requirements for analytics, business intelligence, and reporting solutions, including KPIs, desired outcomes, and data needs.
  • Support stakeholder validation of early builds, prototypes, and draft deliverables to confirm requirements were interpreted correctly.
  • Identify and resolve gaps, conflicts, and risks in requirements before they reach development.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies as needed to keep user stories aligned with stakeholder intent.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar requirements-focused role.
  • Experience gathering and documenting complex business requirements across multiple stakeholders or departments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an agile or agile-adjacent environment.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and bring clarity to ambiguous situations.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for requirements tracking and documentation.
  • Experience working in a Microsoft Teams-based collaborative environment.
  • High attention to detail with a track record of thorough, accurate documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
