Description

  • Lead global sourcing and supply strategies across assigned product categories.
  • Develop the supplier portfolio by identifying capability gaps, evaluating markets, and qualifying strategic suppliers.
  • Partner with Product Development and Business Operations on supplier selection, manufacturability, target costs, materials, lead times, and commercialization.
  • Oversee new product development and transition programs from concept through scaled production.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms, lead times, and capacity commitments.
  • Lead cost-management, value-engineering, and landed-cost optimization initiatives.
  • Oversee supply, inventory, capacity, and production-readiness planning for launches and seasonal demand.
  • Manage supplier compliance, including responsible sourcing, product testing, documentation, customs, tariffs, and import requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate supplier, quality, capacity, geopolitical, trade, compliance, and material risks.
  • Establish supplier performance standards, scorecards, corrective-action plans, and executive escalations.
  • Partner with Quality, Logistics, Finance, Legal, Planning, and Supply Chain on operational and commercial priorities.
  • Coach and develop Global Sourcing & Supply team members and travel internationally for supplier activities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in global sourcing, supply management, product development, manufacturing, or related supply chain roles.
  • Significant experience managing global manufacturers and complex supplier relationships, preferably in consumer products, home, stationery, gifting, retail, or design-led categories.
  • Experience developing and executing sourcing strategies across multiple products, categories, or suppliers.
  • Strong commercial experience with supplier negotiations, cost management, pricing, MOQs, payment terms, and value engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of demand forecasting, supply and inventory planning, production planning, capacity management, and purchase orders.
  • Deep understanding of product development and manufacturing from concept through commercialization and scaled production.
  • Experience managing supplier compliance and international trade requirements, including customs, duties, tariffs, country of origin, product classification, and import documentation.
  • Ability to assess and manage supplier performance, capacity, quality, compliance, and supply risk.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills for evaluating cost, landed cost, quality, inventory, speed, innovation, compliance, and risk tradeoffs.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-management, and stakeholder-influence skills, including with supplier and executive leadership.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or developing team members.
  • Comfort working strategically and hands-on in a fast-moving environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.

  • Salary range of $105,005–$137,820 for other U.S. metro locations and $114,429–$150,188 for listed Geo 2 markets.
