Description

Design original optics problems that simulate real physics research workflows.
Create computationally intensive problems that cannot be solved manually within a reasonable timeframe.
Develop problems that require non-trivial reasoning across mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
Base problem sets on real research challenges or practical applications in optics and physics.
Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
Contribute to project-based tasks during active phases, typically 10–20 hours per week.
Participate in the application, qualification, and project workflow to complete paid tasks.

Requirements

Degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or a related field.
2+ years of professional experience; applied, research, or teaching experience is acceptable.
Experience with numerical simulation methods.
Ability to design problems that mirror real physics research workflows.
Creative thinking in problem design across diverse physics areas.
Familiarity with physics modeling and approximation techniques.
Strong written English at C1 level or higher.
