Description

  • Serve as a platform engineer for containerized environments, service mesh technologies, and microservices with cybersecurity requirements as the primary consideration.
  • Advise on strategic and design priorities for platform technologies and tools.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional engineers and cybersecurity professionals supporting cloud security controls and DevSecOps tooling.
  • Develop monitoring solutions for network traffic, system logs, and security alerts to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
  • Analyze anomalies, investigate security breaches, assess threat intelligence feeds, and take actions to mitigate risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with platform engineers, developers, and cross-functional teams to establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Support security assessments, incident response planning, and mitigation recommendations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of security architecture, control implementations, configurations, and continuous monitoring strategies.
  • Prepare reports on security findings, incidents, and remediation actions.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience with hands-on securing containerized/Kubernetes environments, with OpenShift preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Artifactory, SonarQube, and Prisma Cloud.
  • 3+ years of cloud engineering experience, preferably in AWS, with experience designing, implementing, and managing advanced cloud solutions.
  • Strong experience designing and building security control implementations and performing continuous monitoring and auditing for compliance.
  • Experience managing and mentoring cybersecurity analysts and engineers.
  • Strong experience implementing security controls aligned to government frameworks and standards such as NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing controls for cloud, container, and/or DevSecOps services in IL5 to IL6+ environments.
  • Experience with log aggregation and analysis tools such as Splunk to identify security-relevant anomalies or risks.
  • Experience performing periodic daily, weekly, and monthly security checks aligned with the NIST Risk Management Framework.
  • Experience with incident response, security incident handling, and forensic analysis techniques.
  • Effective communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • CISSP or equivalent certification to support DoD 8140 requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • Salary range of $166,000 to $202,000.
