Description

  • Supervise daily shift activities and coordinate handoffs with other shift analysts.
  • Evaluate, maintain, and improve network reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Continuously monitor network performance, availability, and security using NOC tools.
  • Respond to network alerts, diagnose failures, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and update NOC processes, playbooks, and incident response plans.
  • Apply security patches, updates, and firewall configurations.
  • Maintain network diagrams, documentation, and inventory records.
  • Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Conduct security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and improvement areas.
  • Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and implement remediation strategies.
  • Analyze threat intelligence, security logs, and network traffic for anomalies.
  • Work with Cisco switch, router, and firewall infrastructure and interface with customers on network connectivity issues.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • 7+ years of experience managing the provisioning, installation, and support of network communications.
  • 7+ years of experience with advanced troubleshooting, network security, and cloud networking.
  • 7+ years of experience in a NOC environment.
  • Understanding of network communications standards and concepts, including copper and fiber media, Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP, subnetting, gateways, ACLs, DNS, IPSec, and HTTP.
  • Experience with implementation and operation of cross-domain solutions.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • Experience with NOC tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, or Wireshark.
  • Knowledge or experience administering monitoring tools such as NeuralStar and Splunk; ManageEngine experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco switch and router configuration.
  • Experience working in a secure federal environment.
  • Networking or security certification such as CISSP, CCNA, MCSE, Security+, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, incident management, and service desk operations.
