Description

  • Design features and evaluate designs, providing feedback to improve technical solutions.
  • Influence quality standards and ensure solutions are measured across the full system.
  • Identify performance issues and optimize applications and services.
  • Design, document, and implement clean, robust solutions to complex business problems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, business stakeholders, program managers, and product managers to define technical solutions.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements and explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in defining, scoping, and estimating user stories.
  • Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and automation, and continuously improve them.
  • Lead design and code reviews to ensure the team ships high-quality, scalable, maintainable, well-tested code.
  • Support monitoring, alerting, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure with a DevOps mindset.

Requirements

  • Mexican citizenship required.
  • 5+ years of professional experience delivering quality software, ideally across the full stack and Java.
  • Excellent proficiency in an object-oriented language such as Java.
  • Strong experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework.
  • Experience with messaging technologies and patterns such as Kafka or SQS.
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
  • Experience with AWS services such as RDS, ECS, EKS, and DynamoDB.
  • Test automation experience at all levels, including unit, integration, regression, and load testing.
  • Experience with React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS for building responsive and scalable web applications.
  • Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools and pipelines such as GitLab CI/CD and Terraform.
  • Experience with RESTful architecture, microservices, system design, scaling, and performance testing.
  • Experience building services, working with PostgreSQL or SQL databases, and low-latency cache-based system design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, testing tools, operations tools, logging, and metrics such as New Relic and Splunk.
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
