Description

  • Lead the design and improvement of CI/CD platforms and workflows.
  • Own complex technical problems from discovery through to solution delivery.
  • Define and promote engineering standards and best practices.
  • Design Infrastructure as Code solutions for cloud and hybrid platforms.
  • Provide technical leadership within delivery teams.
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Review designs, code, and pipelines.
  • Work closely with architects, product owners, and stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical trade-offs and decisions clearly.
  • Contribute to roadmap planning and technical strategy.

Requirements

  • Strong experience designing and running CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of Git-based workflows and source control.
  • Production experience with Terraform using HCL.
  • Strong Python experience for automation and tooling.
  • Experience with other scripting or programming languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Go.
  • Strong experience with one or more cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Working knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid architectures.
  • Understanding of identity, networking, and security in cloud platforms.
  • Strong Linux experience; Windows Server experience and macOS familiarity are also valued.
  • Good depth in networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls, and routing.
  • VMware experience such as vSphere or ESXi, plus understanding of physical infrastructure and data centre environments.
  • Proven experience leading by influence, not title.
  • Ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly and challenge designs constructively.
  • Experience developing and mentoring engineers.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience working in agile delivery environments and across multiple teams or clients.
  • Pragmatic approach to tooling and architecture with a focus on outcomes and reliability.
  • Problem-solving mindset, ownership, accountability, technical curiosity, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
