Description

  • Help build and define cloud security posture, cyber resilience, and zero trust initiatives.
  • Design systems, guardrails, and automation that support secure cloud scaling.
  • Work with infrastructure and engineering teams to improve the reliability and security of cloud infrastructure.
  • Automate cloud security controls to minimize threats, vulnerabilities, and risk.
  • Shape Mercury's AWS cloud architecture around resilience, least privilege, and long-term maintainability.
  • Collaborate with teams across the company to address security, privacy, and compliance challenges.
  • Support remote access security challenges in a remote-first environment.
  • Work with stakeholders to address cloud security concerns across Mercury.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in cloud security, networking, information security, or a related field.
  • Understanding of governance, risk, and compliance as it relates to cloud engineering.
  • Familiarity with standard security frameworks and privacy regulations, including NIST CSF, FFIEC, SOX, SOC2, GLBA, ISO27018, and PCI-DSS.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
  • Fundamental understanding of security practices, troubleshooting issues, attack vectors, and customer support.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tooling.
  • AWS certifications are encouraged.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow, with a proven track record of doing so.

  • Competitive compensation ranges: US $166,600-$208,300; Canada CAD 157,400-$196,800.
