Description

  • Partner with the Client Development team by providing tax expertise for prospect meetings, proposals, presentations, and client retention initiatives.
  • Research, analyze, and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns for HNW and UHNW clients.
  • Lead a niche area such as UHNW client segmentation or highly complex tax law subject matter expertise.
  • Provide insight on clients’ entity structures, family businesses, corporate tax issues, and philanthropic strategies.
  • Review sophisticated wealth transfer and philanthropic models, including federal and state income and estate tax consequences.
  • Independently review and summarize planning documents such as irrevocable trusts and operating agreements, then provide analysis and recommendations.
  • Help advance technical knowledge and mentor less experienced tax team members.
  • Identify tax-related opportunities that strengthen client relationships and support business development strategies.
  • Participate in client and prospect conversations to articulate tax planning value and improve the client experience.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of public accounting experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced degree or professional designation required, such as CPA, JD, MS, or LLM.
  • Advanced knowledge of tax code application and accounting principles.
  • Experience with UltraTax and SurePrep is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with a tax-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely to clients and advisors.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Client-first attitude and passion for delivering an excellent client experience.
  • Comfort participating in client development discussions and relationship-building efforts.
  • Availability during standard business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional early or late hours as needed.

  • Base salary range of $170,000 to $200,000 USD.
