Description

  • Develop and maintain unified financial planning processes that improve efficiency for UHNW client service teams.
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities, training, and development of members of the centralized Financial Planning Group.
  • Collect, codify, and share best practices related to financial planning production.
  • Develop and maintain a playbook for financial plan development and delivery.
  • Modify internal systems to support and enhance the financial planning experience.
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and manage a team of planners delivering financial plans.
  • Build strong relationships with wealth management team members supporting the UHNW financial planning process.
  • Develop and maintain training programs for wealth management teams on financial planning delivery and supporting tools.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulations, and planning issues and communicate relevant changes to the organization.
  • Create visibility for Mercer Advisors by producing collateral and serving as a thought leader internally and in the industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of successful experience in the financial services industry.
  • CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) designation required.
  • Additional credentials preferred.
  • Experience creating content and deliverables in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
  • Proven success working with ultra-high-net-worth clients and complex financial planning situations.
  • Experience identifying advisor, partner, and prospect needs through investigative questioning and solution-oriented discussions.
  • Proficiency in public speaking to clients, prospective clients, advisors, and large groups.
  • Proven record of creating and implementing new programs and ideas across an organization.
  • Deep understanding of the financial planning profession with a forward-looking mindset.
  • Strong understanding of the business development environment, including channel partners.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry, financial planning, and investment management topics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, listening, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional follow-through.
  • Strong computer aptitude with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Established and active industry network.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Ability to work in a professional office environment and travel up to 10% of the time.

  • Base salary range of $150,000 to $175,000 USD.
  • Eligibility to earn incentive compensation through Mercer Advisors’ incentive compensation programs.
