Description

  • Contribute substantial production code across the core application and data stack, including Python, Java, Angular, DBT, and Snowflake.
  • Design and develop scalable, intelligent architectures and AI-enabled product features.
  • Build unit, integration, and performance tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Investigate complex issues across services and data flows and implement durable root-cause fixes.
  • Lead architecture and system design for core application and data platform components with attention to scalability, performance, and security.
  • Champion engineering standards for code quality, testing, automation, observability, and reliability.
  • Partner with product managers, designers, business stakeholders, and DevOps to translate requirements into technical solutions and enable delivery.
  • Mentor engineers, conduct deep design reviews, and raise the technical bar across teams.
  • Explore emerging technologies and run proof-of-concepts that improve productivity and product capabilities.
  • Ensure systems are designed for monitoring, alerting, fault tolerance, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Advanced degree such as a Master’s or Ph.D. is a plus but not required.
  • 6+ years of engineering experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in more than one modern programming language, such as Python or Java.
  • Strong understanding of distributed, scalable, secure systems, including microservices, APIs, event-driven design, and data-intensive architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms or application frameworks such as dbt, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Django, Node.js, or Spring Boot.
  • Experience with DevOps/SRE practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and observability.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, plus containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance requirements in regulated industries, including data privacy, identity and access management, HIPAA, and SOC2.
  • Experience leading complex technical initiatives such as system migrations, re-architecture, or enterprise integrations.
  • Proven ability to mentor senior engineers and influence technical strategy across teams.
  • Healthcare domain experience, including familiarity with clinical data standards such as HL7 and FHIR, is preferred.
