Description

  • Lead the development of K-6 mathematics textbook content aligned to the Victorian Curriculum from planning through completion.
  • Oversee content creation workflows and coordinate work with internal team members.
  • Review content thoroughly to ensure alignment with Victorian Curriculum content descriptions, achievement standards, and proficiency strands.
  • Provide clear, specific, and actionable feedback to support precise edits and high-quality output.
  • Champion the use of AI tools throughout the content development process to improve productivity and quality.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate new AI capabilities and continuously improve team workflows.
  • Ensure consistency in pedagogical approach, mathematical rigour, and developmental progression across all materials.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience teaching primary mathematics (K-6) in Victorian schools.
  • Deep understanding of the Victorian Curriculum: Mathematics, including content descriptions, achievement standards, and the proficiency strands: Understanding, Fluency, Problem Solving, and Reasoning.
  • Familiarity with Victorian Curriculum 2.0 updates.
  • Strong familiarity with current AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, with enthusiasm for using them to enhance productivity.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to provide clear, specific feedback on content.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  • Experience in project management, publishing, or educational content development is preferred.
  • Familiarity with primary mathematics curricula in other Australian states, such as the NSW Syllabus or Australian Curriculum, is preferred.
  • Experience with digital learning platforms or ed-tech environments is preferred.
  • Experience with LaTeX or mathematical typesetting is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of coding is preferred.
