Description

  • Assemble project teams and assign responsibilities to align technical expertise with project objectives.
  • Define and communicate project scope, schedule, and budget to the team, client, and contractors.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for project progress, issues, and challenges.
  • Develop project budgets, review costs, and track budget adherence.
  • Secure the resources needed for each stage of the project to keep work on schedule.
  • Identify project risks and added costs and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Organize and lead routine project meetings with clients and internal teams.
  • Document project deliverables and maintain records, correspondence, design plans, and related files.
  • Build and maintain client relationships to support future work opportunities.
  • Coordinate contract negotiations.
  • Mentor staff on project management best practices and use of Olsson project management resources.
  • Adhere to regulations and enforce safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, or a related area preferred.
  • At least 8 years of project experience in an applicable field or discipline, such as mechanical, electrical, or structural, with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute effectively and work well on a team.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding client expectations through project management activities.
  • Excellent client service, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills with the ability to generate innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • High level of organization, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • A keen interest in various engineering disciplines.
