Description

  • Write readable, testable, and maintainable JavaScript/TypeScript backend code.
  • Own backend features from requirements through implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Design and modify database structures and API contracts.
  • Document delivered code and technical decisions.
  • Review code, provide constructive feedback, and support knowledge sharing.
  • Propose improvements to products, development practices, and team processes.
  • Participate in project discussions, refinements, and technical decision-making.
  • Communicate risks, diagnose issues, and recommend practical solutions to clients and the team.
  • Support less experienced developers through explanations and pair programming.
  • Use AI tools responsibly for prototyping, boilerplate, and testing while validating production quality.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of commercial Node.js experience.
  • Strong TypeScript proficiency, including static typing, advanced types, and TypeScript compiler configuration.
  • Experience with a Node.js backend framework such as Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify.
  • Experience with SQL databases, including basic database design and ORM/query-builder tools such as Prisma or Knex.
  • Experience with NoSQL and/or in-memory databases.
  • Knowledge of SOLID, KISS, design patterns, and software architecture principles.
  • Understanding of Docker and GitHub Actions; basic AWS experience.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-powered backend features, such as LLM API integrations, basic RAG, or agent-style workflows.
  • English at B2 level and Polish at C1 level.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum, MVP development, or early-stage product creation is preferred.
