Description

  • Define Marqeta’s enterprise AI and automation strategy, including responsible AI principles, governance frameworks, and a multi-quarter adoption roadmap.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value AI and automation use cases across business units and map enterprise workflows to find opportunities for step-change improvement.
  • Define functional and technical requirements for internal AI and automation platforms and serve as the primary proxy for BT engineering.
  • Partner with Architecture Review Boards and the AI Steering Committee to ensure solutions meet IT standards and governance requirements.
  • Design and lead the plan-and-commit process for AI and automation technology requests and maintain a visible initiative backlog.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments and cost-benefit analyses, and prioritize the AI portfolio against business outcomes, risk reduction, ROI, and executive guidance.
  • Oversee QA, UAT, sprint demos, deployment coordination, and hypercare for major releases to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies, run pilots, lead vendor selection and commercial negotiations, and manage ongoing vendor relationships for Enterprise AI tooling.
  • Own the enterprise AI rollout plan with Corporate Communications and Learning and Development, and drive change management and adoption across business units.
  • Design and own the enterprise AI metrics framework, report progress to senior leadership, and establish governance guardrails for responsible AI use.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in IT product management, including at least 2 years focused on AI or emerging technology products.
  • Understanding of AI capabilities such as summarization, classification, generation, and agentic workflows.
  • Experience building internal-facing enterprise AI systems or platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience managing product backlogs, defects, and enhancement roadmaps for enterprise applications or internal platforms.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to make tradeoffs in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across business units, finance, legal, and security stakeholders.
  • Comfort working hands-on with AI tools, including evaluating platforms, configuring agents, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Experience with no-code/low-code AI platforms such as Workato or similar is a strong plus.
  • Change management experience with a focus on driving adoption, not just deployment.
  • Fintech or regulated industry experience is preferred.
