Description

  • Own the 0-1 product design process by conducting research, designing solutions, iterating from insights and data, and partnering with product and engineering to ship products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate design thinking, innovation, and shared problem-solving.
  • Lead design solutions for law enforcement, EMS, firefighters, 911 dispatchers, and other first responders with a focus on reducing cognitive load and improving public safety workflows.
  • Design across multiple device types and environments, including workstations, in-vehicle laptops, tablets, and mobile applications.
  • Standardize design practices across the team for feedback, roadmap planning, and engineering support.
  • Present design solutions to customers and leadership, gather feedback, and iterate quickly.
  • Contribute to design systems, pattern libraries, and high-quality product craftsmanship in tools such as Figma.
  • Drive AI/ML adoption across the product portfolio, including in design methodologies and product features.
  • Guide discovery work by defining problems, conducting user research, generating ideas, and maintaining design consistency.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional product design experience.
  • 3+ years of experience designing complex enterprise SaaS products.
  • Experience leading qualitative and quantitative UI/UX or user research.
  • Experience with end-to-end design and shipping products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with responsive design, map interactions, and multimodality is preferred.
  • Experience working in law-enforcement, fire, or EMS software is a plus.
  • Experience co-designing with customers is preferred.
  • Experience designing features for situational awareness is preferred.
  • Excellent visual design and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of native iOS and Android applications is helpful.
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies is a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the country of hire; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Must be able to work remotely from an approved location in Canada, the UK, or one of the listed U.S. states.
