Description

  • Work with product managers and product designers to understand, document, and translate feature requirements into technical solutions.
  • Build features and robust server-side solutions using Java, SQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, React, and TypeScript.
  • Own products or product subsets from start to finish, including technical implementation and delivery.
  • Improve the architecture of front-end or backend areas to support higher velocity and a growing customer base.
  • Review code from other engineers and submit code for review as part of the pull-request deployment process.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and continuously improve customer experience.
  • Write clear, concise technical documentation to support your code and help teammates understand your contributions.
  • Evaluate new technologies and contribute to discussions that improve the codebase and engineering practices.
  • Support junior team members and help nurture a collaborative engineering culture.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of professional experience using Java, .NET, or other server-side languages in production.
  • Experience shipping software at enterprise scale and releasing commercial software to enterprise customers.
  • Comfort with agile development and thorough self-testing of your own code.
  • Strong ability to write clear, concise code and intuitive documentation.
  • Deep understanding of databases, automated testing, and Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency building and managing RESTful APIs.
  • Strong DevOps experience and ability to manage a product in the cloud.
  • Deep experience designing and building infrastructure for complex cloud-based software applications, preferably hosted in AWS or Azure.
  • Proven experience building for scale in a B2B environment.
  • Knowledge of or prior experience with microservices architecture.
  • Ability to work on front-end technologies such as JavaScript and ReactJS is a plus.
  • Experience building low-code platforms is a huge plus.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the country where the role is hired.
  • Ability to work in one of the approved remote locations in Canada, the UK, or the listed U.S. states.
  • Willingness to operate on a 3-day hybrid schedule in Boston, MA, if working with the CAD engineering team.

Benefits

  • Target base annual salary range of $170,000 to $210,000.
