Description

  • Observe roofing, paving, and building envelope projects on-site to verify compliance with contract specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and company quality standards.
  • Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and submittals.
  • Document contractor performance and verify material storage, installation methods, and deck conditions.
  • Confirm nightly watertight conditions and final system integrity.
  • Participate in punch list reviews and warranty inspections.
  • Follow company safety policies, wear required PPE, and complete job hazard analysis forms.
  • Report incidents, unsafe conditions, and safety concerns immediately.
  • Create detailed daily observation reports with photographic evidence.
  • Use tablets and software tools to record, upload, and manage field data.
  • Communicate clearly with project managers, contractors, and internal team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tablet-based field tools.
  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction, roofing, or facility assessment roles preferred.
  • Previous CQA or project inspection experience preferred.
  • Roofing Technology Certificate or related certifications preferred.
  • RCI/IIBEC coursework or certifications preferred.
  • Experience with pavement or building envelope technologies preferred.
