Description

  • Provide expert consultation on best practices for Foreign Language Exploratory/World Language Discovery Programs.
  • Review drafted instructional materials, including lesson plans, worksheets, slide decks, and teacher resources, and provide detailed feedback.
  • Collaborate with the content development team to ensure instruction methods and cultural content are appropriate and engaging for young learners.
  • Meet regularly with the content team during the product development phase to guide curriculum and content decisions.
  • Provide asynchronous, candid, and constructive feedback on drafted materials and program features.
  • Contribute to ancillary materials for training, marketing, or sales related to the FLEX program.
  • Commit a flexible number of hours per week based on project needs.
  • Help translate subject matter expertise into actionable guidance for product development.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in World Language Education or a related field.
  • Substantial, demonstrable experience teaching or administering a FLEX/World Language Discovery Program strongly preferred.
  • Experience teaching a world language to upper elementary or middle school students will also be considered.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in English and advanced proficiency in one or more world languages.
  • Passion for teaching languages and culture.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and applying expertise in a digital context.
  • Reliable internet connection and access to necessary remote working tools.
  • Experience with Google Suite, especially Sheets and Docs, preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including responsiveness via email.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines and work independently within a team structure.
