Description

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of the data center migration to AWS, from assessment and discovery through stabilization.
  • Drive modernization efforts including containerization, refactoring, re-platforming, and automation improvements.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, migration wave schedules, RAID logs, communication plans, and status reports.
  • Track scope, priorities, risks, dependencies, delays, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering teams, leadership, and client stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including cloud architects, network/security teams, DevOps, and application owners.
  • Run steering committee meetings, sprint reviews, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party integrators involved in migration execution.
  • Facilitate architecture discussions and document decisions across teams working in India and the US.
  • Handle customer communications, escalations, scope changes, meeting notes, and project documentation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven experience leading data center migration to AWS.
  • 5+ years of experience as a project manager or scrum master with customers in US time zones.
  • Strong understanding of AWS cloud services, including landing zones, VPC/networking, IAM, EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and EKS/ECS.
  • Experience with migration tools.
  • Expertise in Smartsheet, Jira/Confluence, and Clockify.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
  • Strong experience managing internal and external teams.
  • Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in cloud migration projects on AWS (preferred).
  • AWS Solution Architect Associate certification (preferred).
  • Professional Scrum Master certification (preferred).
  • Managing Jira Projects certification (preferred).
  • Smartsheet certification (preferred).
