Description

  • Lead the full lifecycle execution of high-voltage substation and transmission line projects up to 500kV.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules aligned with utility and EPC timelines.
  • Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies to protect milestones and delivery dates.
  • Serve as the primary interface with utilities on interconnection, compliance, and grid operator requirements.
  • Coordinate execution among internal teams, utilities, and EPC contractors to keep projects aligned.
  • Administer construction contracts, including change orders, RFIs, submittals, and document control.
  • Manage project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial reporting against approved targets.
  • Review invoices and change orders with Finance to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, interconnection agreements, and commercial requirements.
  • Implement quality assurance, reporting, and documentation processes through closeout, including as-builts and engineering records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing high-voltage substation and transmission line projects.
  • Experience managing projects up to 500kV.
  • Direct experience working with utilities on interconnection, regulatory, and technical matters.
  • Strong understanding of utility-scale transmission infrastructure, EPC contracting models, and high-voltage equipment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and interconnection processes.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams in complex infrastructure environments.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Slack.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills for utility-facing and cross-functional work.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites and support on-site execution as needed.
