Description

  • Develop rapport with clients and internal stakeholders to provide advice and support.
  • Monitor progress, manage risk, and keep key stakeholders informed on status and expected outcomes.
  • Stay current on business, industry, and cybersecurity trends relevant to the client.
  • Assist engagement teams in evaluating vulnerability management programs across people, process, and technology.
  • Own distinct portions of vulnerability management solutions tailored to client environments.
  • Perform and control vulnerability assessments to identify control weaknesses and evaluate existing controls.
  • Help manage cybersecurity projects, including project charters, plans, and status updates.
  • Develop vulnerability management metrics and translate technical findings into actionable insights for executive and operational audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5 years of related work experience.
  • Experience with Tenable One.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools and operational deployment, configuration, and execution.
  • Prior experience delivering vulnerability management services to clients across multiple industries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with senior management, technical SMEs, and business partners.
  • Ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms.
  • Willingness to travel to meet client needs.
  • Familiarity with security and risk standards including ISO 27001-2, CIS, PCI DSS, NIST, ITIL, and COBIT.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux, UNIX, and other major on-prem and cloud-based operating systems.
  • Ability to evaluate vulnerability management tools and assist with vendor selection.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and determine feasible technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts including vulnerability management, privacy, incident response, governance, risk and compliance, and enterprise security strategies and architecture.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and/or PowerBI to develop vulnerability management metrics.
  • Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, cloud security and architecture, latest vulnerabilities and exploits, and threat intelligence sources.
  • Experience using EPSS, CVSS, CISA KEV, and threat intelligence to prioritize vulnerabilities.
  • Proficient knowledge of CVE and CWE frameworks.
  • Preferred: cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, CEH, or GSEC.
  • Preferred: strong interpersonal skills, strategic and technical problem-solving ability, and the ability to influence decisions across multiple initiatives.
