Description

  • Build backend services that support core ML/AI product features.
  • Create backend infrastructure for scalable, resilient, and highly performant solutions.
  • Deploy and manage applications in production.
  • Write code as a daily part of the role.
  • Take ownership of work and lead cross-functional projects.
  • Collaborate with therapists, data scientists, engineers, and product managers on complex problems.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience delivering production-ready products.
  • Strong ability to write high-quality code in Java and Python; Kotlin is a plus.
  • Experience implementing production-level RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with relational and low-latency databases.
  • Experience working with Docker and deploying applications to Kubernetes.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Interest in building systems from scratch.
  • Ability to balance quality and deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build consensus and alignment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to simplify complex problems into clear priorities.
  • Experience with modern async Python web frameworks such as FastAPI (preferred).
  • Experience handling data streaming with WebSockets or Server-Sent Events (preferred).
  • Understanding of basic machine learning principles and production ML inference (preferred).
  • Experience defining and using Protobuf messages (preferred).
  • Experience building on cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS (preferred).
  • Experience working with highly sensitive data in a healthcare environment (preferred).
