Description

  • Serve as the first point of contact for service users accessing EAP and mental health support by phone or online chat.
  • Provide brief, goal-focused therapeutic support and psychoeducation to help contain immediate concerns.
  • Complete brief clinical assessments to determine service users’ needs and next steps.
  • Conduct robust risk assessments and implement risk management plans when required.
  • Match service users with appropriate support, including short-term counselling, local services, or community resources.
  • Accurately document all case information in the clinical database.
  • Follow clinical and operational protocols, service standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with global clinical teams and liaise with affiliate clinicians for appointments and case updates.
  • Contribute to service and business development activities as needed.
  • Participate in governance and quality assurance activities and remain flexible to business needs.

Requirements

  • Master’s-level counselling qualification appropriate to professional standards in Canada.
  • Current registration or accreditation with a relevant professional body.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification therapeutic delivery experience.
  • Experience working with a broad range of psychological health and workplace issues, including mental health, trauma, stress, relationship issues, child-related issues, anxiety, and substance-related issues.
  • Experience working in high-pressure, time-limited environments.
  • Experience managing high-risk cases such as suicide, abuse, and substance use or abuse.
  • Computer literacy and the ability to type quickly.
  • Ability to provide telephonic therapy and maintain a strong telephone manner.
  • Strong clinical understanding, risk management ability, and client service orientation.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
