Description

  • Own and evolve the dbt project, ensuring models are performant, well-tested, and documented.
  • Design and maintain the Snowflake data warehouse and data ingestion processes.
  • Build core data models and datasets using modern data modeling best practices for complex business logic.
  • Implement testing, observability, and reliability controls for analytics pipelines.
  • Enforce CI/CD best practices, including automation, linting, testing, code review, and approvals.
  • Standardize metric definitions and ensure consistent calculations across tools.
  • Act as a data liaison between Engineering, GTM, and Finance to align metrics and system instrumentation.
  • Enable self-service access to trusted insights for stakeholders across the business.
  • Evangelize data literacy and coach stakeholders on querying, dashboarding, and interpreting metrics.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, RevOps, Finance, and Engineering on analytics needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an analytics engineer, data engineer, or similar role in a SaaS environment.
  • Deep expertise in SQL, dbt, and modern data modeling best practices.
  • Proven experience working with event-based and product usage data such as Posthog or Mixpanel.
  • Experience connecting marketing data, including paid ads, campaigns, and attribution, to product analytics.
  • Experience building end-to-end pipelines from ad platforms through conversion and retention metrics is strongly preferred.
  • Comfort working with large-scale data systems such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  • Strong familiarity with CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and automated testing.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineers, analysts, and product managers.
  • Demonstrated success using analytics to drive decisions in a technical or product-focused environment.
  • Ability to take ownership of ambiguous problems and design end-to-end solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python for deeper analysis and automation is a plus.
  • Experience building and maintaining Airflow DAGs is a plus.
  • Experience with Spark and PySpark is a plus.
