Description

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify qualified suppliers that meet Lucid’s expectations and timelines.
  • Create RFQs and partner with engineering on statements of work, quotation review, and sourcing recommendations.
  • Negotiate contracts covering parts pricing, tooling costs, and engineering services.
  • Work with suppliers and Engineering to release parts into production and issue purchase orders for prototype parts and tooling.
  • Manage supplier development, tooling timelines, and part availability for prototype builds and start of production.
  • Resolve delays, problems, and commercial issues while maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Provide internal report-outs on sourcing status, part availability, and cost status.
  • Support global supply chain strategy and cross-functional teams during development and industrialization.
  • Travel 15-25% to visit suppliers for business and program reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, supply chain, or finance discipline; MBA preferred but not required.
  • 8+ years of purchasing, supply chain, or engineering experience in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with related technologies such as body seals, latches, window regulators, checkers, electronic door handles, power door/decklid systems, and hinges is preferred.
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity for understanding manufacturing processes in assigned commodities.
  • Product launch experience preferred, with strong knowledge of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a team-first mindset.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and program management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent.
