Description

  • Establish and maintain relationships with carriers to understand their network needs and fill the contract opportunity pipeline.
  • Negotiate market-driven rates for short- and long-term contracts and monitor performance to ensure on-time metrics are met.
  • Build strong partnerships with new and existing carrier partners and drive adoption of Loadsmart technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Carrier Sales team to leverage the carrier network for customer opportunities.
  • Advocate for carrier partners and drivers to use Loadsmart’s online platform to communicate, book, and track contracted loads autonomously.
  • Conduct focus groups and interviews with carriers to provide product feedback on new technology initiatives.
  • Lead Business in Review sessions with top carrier partners to support business growth, opportunity management, and service excellence.
  • Work with the business development team to drive automation for the brokerage business.
  • Collaborate with operations and other internal teams to improve efficiency across Loadsmart’s freight network.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of carrier-side logistics experience.
  • Results-driven work ethic with strong prioritization and follow-through.
  • Ability to uncover carrier networks and create synergies with carrier partners.
  • Ability to prioritize and thrive under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business judgment and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of carrier technology products and services.
  • Strong collaborative experience working across multiple departments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Loadsmart does not sponsor work visas.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $90,000 to $105,000 per year.
  • Eligible for an incentive bonus.
  • Eligible for stock options and an equity package.
