Description

  • Build trusted relationships with government partners and maintain agency-level situational awareness.
  • Identify and resolve delivery, process, culture, staffing, contract, milestone, and financial risks.
  • Engage clients continuously to understand needs, communicate progress, and solve issues collaboratively.
  • Grow the program through contract modifications, surge CLINs, option years, and subcontractor negotiations.
  • Coordinate delivery across projects and organizational teams to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Scale delivery through project managers and functional leads while supporting healthy, trust-based team environments.
  • Manage portfolio contracts and finances in partnership with the finance team.
  • Set and uphold standards for delivery excellence, client service, policy adherence, and organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience overseeing delivery outcomes and client relationships across large projects.
  • Experience managing custom software or cloud infrastructure programs.
  • Experience working with or for state government agencies, including government contracting, compliance, and audit trails.
  • Experience leading and growing agile development teams and managing projects at scale.
  • Experience leading complex projects involving milestones, dependencies, integrations, risk, uncertainty, and significant scale.
  • Experience with Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe and familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, strategic planning, and adaptable problem-solving skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Ability to meet government contract requirements and pass a background check or security clearance if required.
  • Preferred: experience with Paid Family Leave Benefits Programs, state or major-city government, 50+ person technology teams, public-facing production systems, IT modernization, Jira, Confluence, agile transformation, and production operations.
