Description

  • Develop tools that combine generative AI with Nava’s technology solutions to create functional demos of government digital services.
  • Design and implement example applications using Nava’s open source platforms for use in bids and conferences.
  • Support project teams in using Nava’s platforms and iterate on tools based on their feedback.
  • Build end-to-end applications from scratch, including frontend, backend, and integrations.
  • Turn loosely defined ideas into functional software through independent execution.
  • Develop MVPs quickly and use rapid iteration, prototyping, and exploratory development approaches.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to rapidly build and ship full end-to-end applications from scratch, including frontend, backend, and integration.
  • Ability to work independently and turn loose ideas into functional software.
  • Comfort with developing MVPs quickly, rapid iterations, prototyping, and exploratory development.
  • Fluency in Python or TypeScript.
  • Experience building full-stack applications with web frameworks such as Next.js, Django, or Ruby on Rails.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented design patterns and the ability to design elegant object-oriented APIs for other developers.
  • Exposure to or interest in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) patterns is preferred.
  • Experience using GenAI APIs, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, or evaluation frameworks is helpful but not required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to meet any other requirements for government contracts and potentially pass a government background check or security clearance depending on the contract.
  • Role level and title will be determined by Nava leadership based on experience, interview results, and skillset.
