Description

  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for GenAI products using Python and FastAPI.
  • Develop and operate LLM-powered applications and agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith.
  • Build and manage infrastructure with Terraform and apply infrastructure-as-code practices across backend and ML resources.
  • Create and maintain monitoring, alerting, tracing, evaluation, and observability systems for services, APIs, and models.
  • Work with large datasets and contribute to the platform data pipeline to prepare data for model context.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and monitoring across backend services and ML workflows.
  • Optimize infrastructure and services for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot deployment, runtime, and pipeline performance issues.
  • Define technical strategy, evaluate tools and technologies, and translate stakeholder requirements into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to internal engineering standards and documentation while mentoring others on engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in backend-centric software development.
  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Strong Python programming skills for production implementation, including best practices, testing, and performance considerations.
  • Experience with libraries such as Pandas, Polars, LangChain, and LangSmith.
  • Experience implementing infrastructure for machine learning and generative AI applications.
  • Experience in security engineering or another complex domain.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for model training and deployment.
  • Experience with ML services in cloud platforms such as Vertex AI in GCP.
  • Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, critical thinking, self-management, and initiative.
  • Preferred experience with software engineering practices such as version control, code review, and software design principles.

  • Base salary range of $200,000 to $225,000 USD annually, with potential for higher compensation in higher cost-of-living markets.
