Description

  • Lead projects from requirements gathering through implementation in collaboration with product, design, and data engineering partners.
  • Contribute to and influence the architecture and quality of core platform services.
  • Define, design, ship, and monitor new features with engineering and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure robust testing and quality standards for delivered work.
  • Design and build high-impact user workflows with a focus on user experience.
  • Author, review, and improve technical specifications and documentation.
  • Set standards for quality and technical excellence through code and design reviews.
  • Improve engineering processes and procedures.
  • Provide direct constructive feedback and support teammate growth.

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of professional development experience building APIs and services.
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment.
  • Proven track record delivering complex full-stack projects across product and technology initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in modern backend frameworks such as Python/Django and TypeScript/Node.js.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions based on requirements, constraints, trade-offs, and business strategy.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience with AWS platforms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Terraform is preferred.
  • Experience building health tech software is preferred.
  • Must permanently reside in the US full-time.
  • Candidates in the greater San Francisco Bay Area must work in a hybrid model with 3 days per week in office.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $122,400-$195,500 annually, plus equity and benefits.
  • Separate salary range of $156,400-$195,500 for candidates based in San Francisco, New York City, or Seattle.
