Description

  • Lead a distributed engineering team in designing, reviewing, and building software.
  • Architect, implement, and deploy new systems and improvements to existing systems with government partners and contractors.
  • Ship user-focused features through agile development practices.
  • Create tools and processes to automate development, testing, and production workflows.
  • Write and review technical documentation, conduct code reviews, and enforce engineering standards.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and architecture direction to engineers.
  • Participate in on-call support for production systems and investigate incidents.
  • Contribute to hiring through referrals, interviews, and interview debriefs.
  • Lead significant migration efforts and build stakeholder support for technical initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience with C#/.NET, RESTful APIs, and microservice architecture.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications in Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience working on large-scale applications and systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of secure software development, authentication, and authorization patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Git workflows, and modern software development.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and providing technical and architecture guidance.
  • Ability to conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and enforce engineering standards.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and strong communication skills with technical and product stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, and Azure AD preferred.
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems, including mainframe replacement, preferred.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship; ability to meet government contract requirements and potentially pass a background check or security clearance.
  • Must reside in one of Nava’s eligible remote-work states.
