Description

  • Build data pipelines to ingest data from databases, APIs, and streaming platforms.
  • Integrate and transform data to ensure compatibility with target data models and formats.
  • Design and implement data processing systems on the Azure platform.
  • Write efficient and scalable code to process, transform, and clean large volumes of data.
  • Design and optimize data storage architectures such as data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed file systems.
  • Improve data retrieval performance by tuning queries, resolving bottlenecks, and applying caching strategies.
  • Design data models that support efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Train and mentor junior data engineers through guidance and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of professional experience in a similar data engineering role.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and specifically to coworkers and business stakeholders.
  • Working experience with Agile methodologies and supporting tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience designing and optimizing data storage solutions, including data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed file systems.
  • Independence and accountability for delivering solutions.
  • Ability to work under Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
  • Experience or familiarity with other cloud technologies is a plus.
  • Experience or familiarity with data governance and business analysis is a plus.
  • Experience with Azure-based data processing is required.
  • Ability to work in a remote, full-time environment.
