Description

  • Research, develop, and optimize systematic trading strategies and signals across digital asset markets.
  • Analyze tick-level market, trade, order book, derivatives, and cross-venue data to identify exploitable patterns.
  • Formulate hypotheses and design statistically rigorous experiments to evaluate them.
  • Build backtesting and simulation frameworks accounting for transaction costs, market impact, latency, liquidity, and other trading constraints.
  • Research market microstructure, liquidity, price formation, execution behavior, and short-horizon alpha.
  • Develop models for signal generation, execution, portfolio construction, and risk management.
  • Evaluate existing strategies and improve alpha, execution quality, and robustness.
  • Collaborate with engineers to deploy successful research into reliable production trading systems.
  • Monitor live strategy performance and investigate differences between research, simulation, and production results.
  • Improve research methodologies, datasets, tooling, and experimental standards.

Requirements

  • Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics, engineering, finance, or another highly quantitative field.
  • Strong quantitative and statistical reasoning, including the ability to turn ambiguous market questions into testable hypotheses.
  • Strong Python programming skills and experience analyzing large datasets and building quantitative research pipelines.
  • Experience conducting empirical research with financial, market, or similarly noisy real-world datasets.
  • Strong understanding of probability, statistics, time-series analysis, and quantitative modeling.
  • Ability to distinguish statistically significant findings from economically meaningful and tradable opportunities.
  • Knowledge of robust research methodology, including out-of-sample testing, robustness analysis, and avoiding look-ahead bias and overfitting.
  • Intellectual curiosity, independent problem-solving ability, and effective collaboration skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills for explaining research methods, results, limitations, and implications.
  • Experience in quantitative trading, systematic investing, market making, or high-frequency trading is preferred.
  • Experience with market microstructure, execution, order books, transaction costs, tick-level data, digital assets, derivatives, or machine learning is preferred.
  • Experience deploying trading signals or strategies into live markets is preferred.
