Description

  • Analyze the Pinterest trust and safety platform to quantify funnel opportunities, risks, and leading indicators.
  • Lead trust and safety projects across different product funnel stages.
  • Design and productionize scalable machine learning and evaluation frameworks for measurement, recommendations, and forecasting.
  • Develop instrumentation and experimentation best practices for product and engineering teams.
  • Apply statistical methods and scientific rigor to product development and improvement.
  • Build iterative analysis pipelines and maintain comprehensive knowledge of data structures and metrics.
  • Advocate for data and metric improvements that support product development.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, researchers, and other cross-functional partners to communicate insights and drive action.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience analyzing data in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to apply scientific methods to real-world problems using web-scale data.
  • Extensive experience with quantitative methods such as machine learning, statistical modeling, forecasting, or econometrics.
  • Experience manipulating large, high-dimensional, complex datasets.
  • Fluency in SQL or another database language and Python or R.
  • Scientifically rigorous, detail-oriented, skeptical, and results-focused approach to analysis.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with leadership to turn insights into actions.

  • Base salary range of $164,695–$339,078 USD for US-based applicants.
