Description

  • Lead end-to-end project management for complex, multi-workstream engagements, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and issue management.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed MS Project schedules with dependencies, resource loading, and actionable tasks.
  • Apply hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery approaches based on engagement needs and conditions.
  • Drive clarity, recovery planning, and realignment when projects become ambiguous, off-track, or politically complex.
  • Facilitate project status reporting, executive briefings, and governance checkpoints in audience-appropriate formats.
  • Identify and proactively manage risks and dependencies across interconnected workstreams.
  • Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements through interviews, workshops, and process observation.
  • Develop business process flow diagrams, gap analyses, use cases, and other analytical artifacts.
  • Assess current-state and future-state business processes to identify impacts, risks, and opportunities from system and operational changes.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear specifications for technical teams and system integrators.
  • Support ERP/Workday configuration, testing, validation, and UAT planning and execution.
  • Use AI tools to synthesize notes and data, analyze project patterns, and create executive-ready deliverables.
  • Manage executive sponsors, steering committees, vendors, state agencies, and internal team relationships.
  • Coach client-side staff and collaborate with OCM, training, and communications teams to support adoption and readiness.
  • Identify additional opportunities to create client value beyond the formal scope of work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of combined experience in project management and business analysis roles with demonstrated senior-level performance in both.
  • Direct experience supporting or delivering at least one major ERP implementation such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, or PeopleSoft.
  • Functional knowledge of one or more Workday modules, such as HCM, Finance, or Payroll, is preferred.
  • Hands-on Workday configuration or testing experience is ideal.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in highly regulated or politically sensitive environments.
  • Experience facilitating executive-level stakeholder engagement, including steering committees and sponsor briefings.
  • Proficiency in business process documentation, requirements artifacts, and gap analysis deliverables.
  • Experience conducting business interviews and leading client workshops at operational and leadership levels.
  • Active daily use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or equivalent in PM and BA workflows.
  • Ability to demonstrate how AI has improved delivery speed, quality, or analytical depth.
  • Ability to use AI for document synthesis, requirements analysis, pattern recognition, risk identification, and deliverable creation.
  • Comfort prompting and directing AI tools effectively, including understanding their limitations.
  • Intellectual curiosity and initiative around emerging AI capabilities.
  • Strong writing skills for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Hybrid methodology fluency with Agile and Waterfall approaches.
  • Proficiency in MS Project or equivalent scheduling tools, including dependency mapping and resource-loaded plans.
  • Ability to deliver difficult findings and recommendations with data, grace, and actionable solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in a remote or hybrid team environment.
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential is preferred.
  • PMI-PBA or CBAP certification is a plus.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Information Systems, or a related field is a plus.
  • Consulting experience with public sector clients is a plus.
  • Experience with COTS implementation in public sector environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Washington State procurement and contracting processes is a plus.
  • Experience working alongside or managing SI teams on large-scale ERP programs is a plus.
  • Prosci or equivalent OCM certification is a plus.
  • Experience building custom AI workflows, prompt libraries, or automated analytical pipelines is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered project analytics, predictive scheduling tools, or automated reporting solutions is a plus.
  • Track record of introducing AI tools or practices to a team or client organization and driving adoption is a plus.
