Description

  • Pitch guests and episode topics for the show.
  • Work with the host to shape the editorial voice and format.
  • Manage the production workflow and schedule to ensure timely publishing.
  • Collaborate with the video editor, mix engineer, and talent booker and delegate tasks across the team.
  • Direct the host during interview recordings.
  • Edit episode audio in Descript and assemble sessions in ProTools.
  • Coordinate sound design, mix, and mastering with the mix engineer.
  • Outline and draft scripts for the host.
  • Maintain the voice of the show across platforms.
  • Handle recording logistics, including booking studios and sending recording kits.
  • Provide editorial direction and feedback on episode videos.
  • Collaborate with marketing on social media and promotional assets.
  • Participate in creative ideation and support franchise extensions such as live events and webinars.
  • Work with cross-functional teams on content creation, production, management, and promotion.
  • Support the Executive Producer with updates on content, data, goals, and budget.
  • Maintain a service-oriented, proactive, all-hands-on-deck approach in day-to-day work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of audio production experience in podcasting or radio, specifically with deadline-oriented interview formats.
  • Previous experience lead producing a show preferred.
  • Passionate curiosity and thoughtfulness about cutting-edge technology and its role in society.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with hosts.
  • Comfort working “in tape.”
  • Genuine interest in entrepreneurial stories and their value to listeners.
  • Excellent Pro Tools editing experience required.
  • Fluency with Descript or a similar tool, including a Descript-to-ProTools workflow.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and constructive problem-solving approach.
  • Strong research ability and willingness to figure out unfamiliar tasks.
  • Experience organizing media assets, directory structures, and post-production workflows.
  • Time management skills to coordinate multiple projects.
  • Direct communication style with the finesse to work with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to both do hands-on work and help build a team that can do the same.
  • Grounded, honest, team-oriented, and comfortable collaborating across functions.
  • Sense of humor and enthusiasm for the work.
  • Genuine interest in Artificial Intelligence and its applications.
