Description

  • Design, build, and maintain internal software and tooling.
  • Develop services and automation primarily in Go and Rust.
  • Build, operate, and improve Kubernetes infrastructure.
  • Create reproducible development and system environments with Nix and NixOS.
  • Improve developer workflows, CI/CD, infrastructure management, deployments, and reliability.
  • Automate corporate IT and operational processes.
  • Support applications, Linux systems, networking, identity, endpoints, and SaaS platforms.
  • Investigate and resolve ambiguous technical problems independently.
  • Partner with engineering, security, operations, and business teams to remove blockers.
  • Build reliable, tested, documented, secure, and maintainable systems; mentor engineers and shape technical direction.

Requirements

  • Significant professional software engineering experience at a senior level.
  • Strong professional experience with Go.
  • Experience developing systems, services, or tooling with Rust.
  • Strong Kubernetes experience, including deploying, operating, and troubleshooting containerized workloads.
  • Experience with Nix and/or NixOS for reproducible environments, configuration, or package management.
  • Strong Linux and systems-engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience maintaining production-quality internal tools, infrastructure, or platform services.
  • Understanding of networking, APIs, authentication, and distributed systems.
  • Ability to independently investigate unfamiliar systems and resolve ambiguous problems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Preferred experience includes platform engineering, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, IAM, SSO, networking, observability, secrets management, security engineering, GitOps, SaaS administration, or zero-trust architecture.

  • $175,000–$250,000 base salary with performance-based compensation.
