Description

  • Design and build production AI agent systems for client engagements from scoping through deployment and iteration.
  • Lead technical discovery workshops to identify high-value automation opportunities in client workflows.
  • Select and integrate appropriate agent frameworks, platforms, and models for each project.
  • Design human-in-the-loop workflows, approval gates, and escalation paths for safe agent operation in regulated or risk-sensitive environments.
  • Translate complex AI capabilities into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver end-to-end client solutions.
  • Own LaunchPad Lab’s internal agent automation roadmap and build solutions that improve operations.
  • Evaluate new agent frameworks, platforms, and tooling as the AI landscape evolves.
  • Develop reusable agent architectures, prompt libraries, and patterns to speed up delivery across the consultancy.
  • Contribute to AI practice positioning, thought leadership, and go-to-market efforts, and mentor other engineers on AI best practices.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong fundamentals.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience building AI agent systems deployed in production environments.
  • Deep working knowledge of agent orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, LlamaIndex, Claude Managed Agents, or equivalent.
  • Experience with agent design patterns including prompt engineering, RAG architectures, tool/function calling, agent memory management, and evaluation frameworks.
  • Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol), A2A (Agent-to-Agent Protocol), or other emerging agent interoperability standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client-facing technical conversations and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Consulting or agency experience delivering technical projects for external clients is preferred.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure for AI workloads, including vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or pgvector.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and observability tools such as LangSmith, PostHog, or OpenTelemetry is preferred.
  • MLOps experience, including LLM monitoring, agent observability, eval design, and guardrail implementation, is preferred.
  • Experience building internal tools or automations that improved operational efficiency is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with workflow automation and AI agent platforms such as Workato, Cassidy AI, n8n, Claude, or Claude Managed Agents is preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $125,000-$175,000 for the full-time role.
  • Option to join as either a full-time employee or a long-term contract engagement.
