Description

  • Record and categorize financial transactions in accounting software.
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable entries.
  • Prepare and send invoices, track outstanding payments, and follow up on collections.
  • Maintain an organized chart of accounts and consistent transaction categorization.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Support audit, tax filing, and compliance documentation.
  • Process payroll entries and accurately record payroll-related transactions.
  • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Liaise with external accountants or CPAs at period close.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles and financial transaction recording.
  • Experience with bank reconciliations, AP/AR, and month-end close processes.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts or clients simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for financial data management.
  • Associate's degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping is preferred.
  • QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor or similar certification is preferred.
  • Experience in ecommerce or multi-entity bookkeeping is preferred.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing software such as Gusto or ADP is preferred.
  • Experience supporting tax preparation and working with external CPAs is preferred.
  • Knowledge of sales tax compliance and filings across multiple jurisdictions is preferred.
  • Background in a bookkeeping firm or managing multiple client books is preferred.
