Description

Systematically review AccuWeather graphics and identify opportunities for improvement and updated standards.
Work with graphic development teams to design and implement improved graphics across web, apps, network, business, marketing, and subscription products.
Review proposed changes with AccuWeather leadership to secure buy-in before implementation.
Collaborate with teams to prioritize workload and move graphic updates forward efficiently.
Help develop better maps, charts, graphs, and other visual displays for AccuWeather properties.
Increase the use of AI in creating maps, graphs, charts, and related graphics.
Work with a small team of meteorologists and designers to make informed decisions about map and display design.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or Meteorology.
2+ years of experience designing weather maps and displays.
Understanding of weather data, its formats, and forecast models is highly desirable.
Understanding of Baron’s is beneficial.
Experience using AI for graphic creation is a plus.
Strong analytical thinking and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Ability to multitask while staying detail oriented.
