Description

  • Design and develop quantum algorithms and applications with clients and research partners.
  • Create quantum computing use cases across industries such as finance, manufacturing, logistics, and chemistry.
  • Perform data analysis, model development, and algorithm implementation for proofs of concept and solution proposals.
  • Collaborate with external customers, business partners, collaborators, and users of quantum computers.
  • Work with overseas teams, including the Boston headquarters, on joint research and technical communication.
  • Translate business challenges into practical quantum computing solutions using neutral atom systems.

Requirements

  • MSc or Ph.D. in applied mathematics, computer science, physics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Expert knowledge in at least one of quantum machine learning, quantum optimization, quantum chemistry, or quantum information science.
  • Strong understanding of quantum computing fundamentals and algorithmic primitives.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary and international teams.
  • Experience in an industry vertical such as logistics, finance, operations research, chemistry, biotech, engineering, or machine learning (preferred).
  • Experience developing client-focused quantum solutions (preferred).
  • Familiarity with scientific software practices and platforms such as GitHub (preferred).
  • Familiarity with HPC or cloud environments and neutral atom quantum computing (preferred).
