Description

  • Define and execute the software project management strategy aligned with business goals and client commitments.
  • Establish and improve project management methodologies, standards, and best practices for technical software initiatives.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of software projects from requirements gathering through post-go-live support.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects involving WMS, WES, WCS, SCADA, PLC integration, and robotics platforms.
  • Identify, mitigate, and escalate project risks and remove delivery roadblocks.
  • Coordinate with systems integration and consulting teams to align software deliverables with facility design and automation strategy.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical project managers and coordinators.
  • Serve as the primary liaison among software engineering, controls, sales, client stakeholders, and operations teams.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, resource plans, labor costs, vendor expenses, and margin performance.
  • Implement and improve project management tools, dashboards, reporting, and lessons-learned processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical software project management.
  • At least 5 years of leadership or director-level experience.
  • Experience delivering software solutions in material handling, warehouse automation, supply chain, or logistics environments.
  • Strong understanding of WMS, WES, WCS, PLC/SCADA systems, and integration with material handling equipment and robotics.
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, or Azure DevOps.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, multi-million-dollar software implementation projects across multiple client engagements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Preferred master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, or a related field; PMP, PgMP, or SAFe certification; experience with AutoStore, Geek+, Hai Robotics, or similar platforms; familiarity with cloud-based architecture, APIs, and data integration; experience with 3PL, eCommerce, retail, or food and beverage distribution clients; prior experience at a systems integrator or in a consulting-driven delivery model.
