Description

  • Develop the KOMOJU POS app, Tap-to-Pay app, and mobile SDKs using Kotlin.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work with backend engineers across the stack to design and implement mobile application features.
  • Adapt to other programming languages and support platform backend work as needed.
  • Participate in technical design and architecture reviews across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Help establish coding standards and framework choices as the first Android engineer.
  • Contribute to building high-quality mobile experiences with strong testing practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience.
  • Experience with Android SDK and the mobile development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs for connecting mobile apps to backend services.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile UI/UX principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Generalist, T-shaped developer who can work across multiple areas of the tech stack.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledge of cross-platform frameworks for iOS and Android is welcomed.
  • Experience with iOS development and familiarity with iOS architecture is welcomed.
  • Experience working for a Japanese business is welcomed.
  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese.
  • Strong knowledge of testing and different testing types is required.
