Description

  • Build and integrate data models, ETL pipelines, API connections, and applications, including Foundry-based tools.
  • Maintain OPSDB and related platforms, ensuring synchronization reliability, data quality, alerting, and production support.
  • Manage data governance initiatives, including RBAC, scoped roles, dbt semantic layers, and technical documentation.
  • Support Mingomba operations through commitments tracking and coordination with Procurement, Inventory, and other functions.
  • Own systems end to end, including data models, ETL, applications, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Collaborate with geologists and nontechnical domain experts to develop solutions and deliver operational insights.
  • Mentor junior analysts and support peer skill development.
  • Travel as needed to Mingomba or global exploration sites.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data operations with independent ownership of production systems.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling experience, particularly with PostgreSQL.
  • Proven experience building ETL pipelines and API integrations.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini.
  • Experience with dbt, AWS/S3, finance systems such as NetSuite or Tipalti, or geospatial data is preferred.
  • Curiosity about mineral exploration and willingness to learn geology and work directly with field geologists.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to nontechnical experts.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-growing, dynamic early-stage company with evolving responsibilities.
  • Ability to identify the right technical products and solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally as needed.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada.
